This photo gallery is to show stapeliads with bizarre flowers which have the same needs as the aloes in the water saving garden. The very odd and interesting flowers of the succulent stapeliad plants have been referred to as the orchids of the succulent plants.  We know very little on the nomenclature of this genus, you are welcome to contact us if you have information to share on this page.

Caralluma lutea

Stapeliads grow under trees, rocks or bushes.  Plant them under trees or protected by other plants,  not in full sun.  They need no extra watering and where rainfall is high they should be planted on rocks where they can send down a few roots but the plants remain above the wet soil.
This garden is easy to care for.
